Trade licensing & credentials
License requirements by trade and state, sourced from state boards. Select yours to see what applies.
What this means
No state license required. A voluntary credential exists: Home Construction Service Supplier registration (>$25k); no state GC or mold license. No state-level general contractor license (OCILB licenses only the 5 mechanical trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydronics, refrigeration). No state mold license. Residential restoration/reconstruction is licensed at the municipal level; AG registration over $25k is a registration, not a license.
Requirements shown are drawn from official state sources and trade research and may have changed; confirm specifics with the issuing board before relying on them. TradeAtlas does not certify licensure or compliance.
Step-by-step, from your first apprenticeship hours to your first license renewal.
