Who pays us, and what money can't buy

Nobody pays to be ranked here. If we make money from a link, it says so right next to it. This page lists every way TradeAtlas is paid today. Last checked 21 October 2026.

Who runs TradeAtlas

TradeAtlas is a product of Pandotic AI, Incorporated, a California company, as our terms say. We do not sell software, run a trade school, place workers, lend money, or broker the sale of businesses.

How we get paid today

Checked 21 October 2026. When one of these changes, this list and its date change with it.

  • Affiliate links (a fee if you sign up)

    None

No software listing and no training or resource listing has an affiliate link today. We expect that to change. When it does, the listing says so next to the link.

  • Sponsored placements

    None

Nobody has paid for a placement anywhere in the software directory or the resource listings.

  • Research sponsorship

    One sponsor: Riffle

Riffle sponsors two surveys: the subcontractor software survey on this site, and the operations benchmark survey that partners can embed on their own sites. Riffle's name is on both. On the benchmark, it also gets one labeled spot on the results page.

  • Advertising

    None

No ad networks and no display ads.

  • Selling data

    None

We do not sell personal information, survey answers, or lists of people.

  • Charging contractors, workers, schools or employers

    None

The Trade Card, the license lookup, and claiming a business profile cost nothing today.

What money can't buy

Whoever pays us, and however much, none of these are for sale:

  • Where a listing ranks, or whether it is listed at all
  • A rating, a verdict, or the catch we write about a product
  • What we say about a product's price or contract terms
  • The result of a calculator or a matching tool
  • A state license record: nobody can pay to add, hide or change one

The full ranking rules, in the order we apply them, are on how we rank.

What you'll see on a listing

The label sits on the listing, next to the link, not in a footer. These are the exact words:

“We earn nothing from this link.”
Shown under the outbound link on a software listing when we have no money relationship with that company. Today that is every software listing.
“We may earn a fee if you sign up — it never changes our ranking.”
Shown when we earn a fee if you sign up through that link.
“Sponsored placement. It doesn't change our ranking.”
Shown when someone paid for that placement.
“Sponsored placement, and we may earn a fee if you sign up. Neither changes our ranking.”
Shown when both are true.

Training and resource listings use short tags instead. “Affiliate link” means we earn a fee if you sign up. “Sponsored” means someone paid for the placement. “Partner” means we have a working relationship with the organization; if that relationship pays us, the listing also says “Affiliate link” or “Sponsored”. The other tags (“Government resource”, “Union resource”, “Training provider”, “No-cost resource” and so on) describe what a resource is, not money.

Sponsored research

A sponsor pays for a survey to exist. It does not see findings before we publish them, and it has no say in our rankings, calculators or matching tools.

Each sponsored survey asks whether you want your answers shared with the sponsor so it can follow up with you. Your answers go to the sponsor only if you said yes. If you said no, your answers are used only in totals, never with your name or email.

Your information

We do not sell personal information. A public Trade Card or business profile shows what its owner chose to publish. The details are in our privacy policy.

When we get it wrong

If a label is missing, or this page says something that is no longer true, tell us. We fix the listing first and then this page, and we change the date at the top when we do.
