Dawson Technical Institute (DTI), part of Kennedy-King College in the City Colleges of Chicago, offers basic and advanced certificates plus an associate degree across trades including carpentry, masonry, welding, plumbing/fire protection, and electrical work. It runs the IDOT-funded Highway Construction Careers Training Program and prepares students for union and non-union apprenticeships.
