The Chicago carpentry apprenticeship is delivered through the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council's training arm, with a Chicago campus offering apprenticeships across roughly a dozen specialties including general and residential carpentry, concrete, millwright, and scaffold erector. Training is no-cost and earn-while-you-learn. The council was formed in October 2021 when the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters merged with the St. Louis–Kansas City council.
