FORTIFIED Home / Roof
IBHS FORTIFIED Home and FORTIFIED Roof
FORTIFIED is a property designation, not a personal licence. A homeowner needs a FORTIFIED-trained contractor plus an independent evaluator. Levels are Roof, Silver and Gold, each including the one before. Roofing contractors, evaluators and professionals each complete a prequalification, an online course and an exam, and renew every three years. State grants in Alabama, North Carolina and Oklahoma require it.
