The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA) is a trade association founded in 1943 and headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia, representing thousands of signatory contracting firms through chapters across the United States, Canada, Australia, and Brazil. It develops and publishes consensus-based technical standards and manuals covering duct construction and installation, architectural sheet metal, indoor air quality, energy recovery, and air pollution control.
