American Subcontractors Association

Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, the American Subcontractors Association (ASA) is an IRS section 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association serving subcontractors, specialty trade contractors, suppliers, and service providers in the construction industry. ASA promotes the rights and interests of its members under the banner 'Better Construction Through Fair Construction,' building strength in community through education, advocacy, networking, and professional growth. The association advocates at the federal and state levels on issues such as prompt payment, fair procurement, indemnity and retention practices, abusive contract terms, OSHA rules, and tax policy.
